The Sociedad General Inmobiliaria, an undisputed pioneer in the creation of shopping centres in Europe, is part of an independent real estate company which dominates the commercial, residential and office property sectors.
During the course of 50 years they have developed 4,000,000 m2, including 25,000 residential properties, 200,000 m2 of office space and 42 Shopping Centres, which generate an influx of more than 400 million visitors per annum.
The Sociedad General Inmobiliaria, which has been operating in Spain for over 40 years, opened the first major Shopping Centre in Madrid in 1983; Madrid 2 La Vaguada.
Since then, the Sociedad General Inmobiliaria, which also has a presence in: Catalonia (Palau de Mar and Gran Vía 2 in Barcelona), Alicante (Plaza Mar 2), and Tenerife (La Villa 2), has promoted and owns several shopping centres in the Community of Madrid: Plaza Loranca 2 (Fuenlabrada), Plaza Norte 2 (San Sebastián de los Reyes), Gran Plaza 2 (Majadahonda) and Plaza Moraleja (Alcobendas).
